Max Prison
Summary
A joint-faction magical containment facility designed to hold the world's most dangerous supernatural criminals and Holy Item wielders
Description
Max Prison stands as a grim testament to necessity overcoming ideology—a collaborative effort born from the collective fear of unchecked supernatural power. Publicly, the major factions present a united front: MI6 provides the technomagic infrastructure, The Order contributes arcane suppression systems, and the Yakuza-Triad syndicate supplies the ruthless efficiency required for such an operation.
What it is
The Church, however, publicly denounced the facility as an affront to divine will, even as its priests secretly wove holy seals into the foundation—a hypocrisy born from pragmatism. Within Max's blackened halls, wardens patrol in silence, their faces obscured by enchanted masks that shield them from the maddening Presence of the inmates. The facility is divided into containment tiers: the Main Voids house Holy Item wielders in cells specifically designed to sever their sacred connection to their artifacts, leaving them powerless and hollow. But the true horror lies deeper—at Max's core float the Isolation Spheres, cursed wombs suspended in a sea of void energy. These pocket dimensions are nearly absolute; they isolate almost any ability, no matter how potent.
How it works
Inside, time moves differently, reality bends, and prisoners exist in perpetual sensory deprivation. Even techniques like Fade, Flicker, or Presence manipulation become useless whispers against the Sphere's reality-warping containment. Those who enter the Isolation Spheres rarely emerge sane. Max Prison represents a dark compromise: the price of safety in a world where gods walk among mortals and power knows no natural limits.
