Lad of Ragnorir
Summary
A warrior of Ragnorir, Lad arrives at the Duskkin border with a glowing battle-axe and his serpent guardian, Ten. He has the strength to make a threat credible, but would still rather calm his companion and settle the dispute with words.
Description
Lad stands before Duskkin scouts with one hand on a glowing axe and Ten coiled around his shoulders. Braids and beads dress his beard; a thick fur collar and the Viking-Scottish bearing of his followers leave little doubt that these strangers can fight. When weapons come out, the serpent is ready before anyone speaks.
Lad's next move is to calm Ten, then laugh and ask why they are drawing blades when words will do. Eirik lowers the scouts' weapons; Lad sheathes his own. The encounter gives a useful measure of this leader: he carries the force to make a threat credible, and enough judgement to leave without making it necessary.
Background
When Lad enters the battlefield, the sky responds. Thunder rolls. Lightning cracks. The air seems to bow before him, acknowledging the storm made flesh. His Holy Item, Stormcleaver—a battleaxe forged in the heavens, hums with barely contained energy.
Personality
Crackling with lightning that dances along razor-sharp edges like eager hounds awaiting their master's command. When Lad and Ten fight as one, they become something greater than the sum of their parts—a living legend that strikes terror into Ragnorir's enemies and inspires unwavering loyalty in its warriors. Together, they represent the perfect synthesis of ancient tradition and adaptive strategy, raw power and refined technique, destructive capability and healing grace. Lad of Ragnorir is a warrior, a storm given human form and Viking determination.
