Akri - The Wingless Wonder

Summary

The akri is an Onari bird that flies without wings by directing Presence, the energy within living beings. Its effortless flight gives Professor Orion Hart a lesson for MI6's trainees—and leaves Goaden with little excuse to keep saying he cannot.

Description

The akri has no wings. It flies anyway. Professor Orion Hart studied this Onari bird to learn how Presence can lift a body without a Holy Item, then brought the lesson into MI6's training chamber: feel the energy, direct it through your feet, and find the means to rise within yourself.

For Goaden, that first inch above the floor is a revelation. For the akri, flight is simply how it moves through its world. Its place in Onari woods and Hart's teaching makes it more than an exotic creature to admire: a small, living example that power can be understood through attention as well as force.
