Performance meets magical combat

A sweeter kind of menace

Inside the floating Sanctuary in the Sky, singing competitions are equal parts performance and magical combat. You can die in one.

The nightmare is their harmony

Like the Dread Twins, Mina and Nari become stronger the closer they stand. When they sing together, their voices reinforce the bond between them, allowing each sister to heal the other in real time.

As long as they stay close and keep singing, that recovery remains possible.

Description

The moment mercy cost them

They weren’t always this ruthless. Early in their career, Mina had the chance to finish a fight and chose to hold back. Her opponent used that hesitation to attack Nari instead, nearly killing her.

The crowd kept cheering. They thought it was part of the performance. Mina had to fight her way back to her sister before their bond could save her. Neither of them has held back since.

When strategy became pleasure

Over time, the twins learned that mockery worked. Humiliation made opponents angry. Angry opponents rushed; they stopped listening, lost their timing and made mistakes. At first, the smiles, the taunts and the sugary little insults were strategy. Then Mina and Nari started enjoying it.

That is the contradiction at the heart of SUGARSAINT. Their kindness to their fans is real. So is their cruelty in combat.

Rose’s next chorus

Rose kept finishing second behind them. Naturally, the twins turned it into a chorus. This time, Rose brought serious backup.
