Kira, The Spirit

Summary

Kira is a demonic spirit imprisoned in a doll inside an MI6 laboratory. His hunger for the Philosopher's Stone helped destroy the Alchemical Society, and the glass cage cannot silence his search for a living host—or Kartel Hammond's memories of him.

Description

Kira's prison looks small enough to carry. The laboratory log beside it is harder to stomach: a spirit from the Demon Realm, sustained through experiments involving the souls of orphans. The cage holds the doll; it does not keep his call from reaching someone beyond the glass.

To Kartel Hammond, Kira is the voice of a catastrophe that has never ended. His pursuit of the Philosopher's Stone helped bring down the Alchemical Society, and being confined has done little to soften his hunger. A living vessel offers him movement, power and another chance. For the person whose body he enters, that opportunity is a sentence.
