Greah stands on a London chimney brick, with white hair, crimson eyes, a luminous halo, a blue embroidered dress and four iridescent wings.

Greah

Creature Guardian

Summary

Greah is Ashai's tiny, sharp-tongued guardian, as ready to scold a reckless starlight display as to follow her charge into danger. She can ride in a pocket and help save a cathedral; her eyes turn blue in battle mode, just like Ashai's.

Description

Greah sees a beautiful cloud of blue stars and immediately asks who might have seen it. She hovers nose-to-nose with Ashai, crimson eyes narrowed, trying to keep a powerful young woman safe without extinguishing the very freedom she craves. Her familiar 'dear heart' can sound like comfort, an exasperated warning, or both in the same breath.

When Ashai leaves home, Greah objects, argues, then settles into the satchel and comes along. The halo and delicate wings should not be mistaken for helplessness. On an outing with Kai she follows a failing energy grid to a cathedral, complains about flickering like a broken neon sign, and helps lay a magical trail that draws dangerous Tunnel Trolls away. Caring for Ashai does not stop her caring for the city around them. Her eyes turn blue in battle mode, just like Ashai’s.
