Fairy King Braum

Character Fairy Realm Royalty

Summary

Braum is the warrior who becomes king of the Fairy Realm and overturns Chill's banishment. His invitation offers the exiled ice fairy a way home, but a royal decree cannot easily undo the years that taught Chill he did not belong.

Description

Chill remembers Braum as the warrior of the two royal brothers, which makes the news of his kingship a surprise. The first reported act that matters to the exiled fairy is personal: Braum overturned his banishment as soon as he took the crown. Neither Chill's appearance nor his power should keep him from belonging among the Fai.

Claude brings that invitation while describing a realm in crisis. For Braum, opening the door is an act of repair; for Chill, walking back through it means confronting memories he has spent years avoiding. A ruler can reverse a decree in a moment. Winning back the trust it destroyed takes longer.

Background

The realm's greatest warrior. Born to protect, not to rule. Spent his life leading campaigns, defending borders, putting himself between danger and his people. The common folk worship him. The nobles fear him. His ideals threaten centuries of tradition. But beneath the legend lies a secret that could shatter everything.

Personality

A forbidden love affair in the Demon Realm. A son he doesn't know exists—Geartrix, half-demon, half-fairy, living proof that the walls between realms were never as solid as everyone believed. When his brother falls, duty drags Braum to a throne he never wanted. He fights to build something better. A realm where wings don't determine worth, where equality replaces oppression. Every decision haunted by his brother's cruelty. Every reform an attempt to heal what Remnan broke.

Role in the story

Strong but doubting. Honourable but compromised. A warrior trying to be wise. A king trying not to become a tyrant. Clad in minimal regalia—green leaf-patterned loincloth, golden accents, autumn leaves at his neck. Sits his ornate throne like a caged storm, always ready to spring back into battle. The Storm King Cloudfish bowed to him, marking him as the realm's true ruler.

Relationships

He refused the recognition. Said his nephew deserved the crown. But fate and tragedy had other plans. Sometimes the bridges we build in secret become the fault lines that split worlds apart.
